Vanilla Cherry Ginger Smoothie! A beautiful burgundy-colored smoothie for Fall! Yes I still love smoothies in the colder months, and I’ll share my secrets with you in this post. This is also packed full of greens, nutrients and antioxidants. This recipe is raw vegan, gluten-free, oil-free, soy-free & corn-free and is medical medium protocol friendly.
Smoothies in Fall & Winter
The secret to this smoothie is the ginger! Ginger is a warming spice and will help to warm you from the inside. It’s also a great digestive aid and anti-inflammatory root as well. Using warming spices like ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, turmeric, etc. is a great way to keep smoothies satisfying in fall and winter.
Another trick is to to make your smoothies room temperature and not add ice or too many frozen ingredients to them. You can even leave the frozen fruit out a bit before making the smoothie so it’s not too cold. If I really want something warm I will have a savory greens smoothie and use the Vitamix to warm it all the way up! Luckily it’s not quite that cold here…yet. πΒ
