The Perfect Low-Fat Raw Vegan Chocolate Sauce! Smooth, creamy & decadent without anything unnecessary. This easy chocolate dip is so easy to make and comes together in a few minutes in your blender. This is delicious with strawberries, bananas, or any fruit for a snack that no one will even realize is raw food!
Only The Essentials
The best part about raw food recipes is you cut out all the hidden ingredients that make healthy, delicious plant foods turn into bad-for-you dishes! This one is no exception, it’s smooth, shiny, creamy, rich & sweet without any dairy, added fats, refined sugars, etc.
This recipe is also oil-free, nut-free, soy-free, gluten-free & corn-free. So it’s allergen free. If you are sensitive to cacao, you can easily substitute raw carob powder in this recipe. When you get down to it, this recipe is a sweet treat you can feel good enjoying because it will give you energy and nutrients.
It’s also quite festive and, dare I say, romantic? 😉 So you can serve this for a romantic dessert as well.
- 9 medjool dates, pitted
- 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
- ½ cup filtered water
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract, or raw vanilla bean powder
- Combine all the ingredients in the blender
- Blend until smooth, ensuring all the dates are incorporated, if you have harder dates you may want to soak them in warm water a few minutes before blending.
- Serve as dip with strawberries, bananas, or any fruit. Enjoy!
