The perfect treat to beat the heat! It has been super hot & humid this summer and that has me craving light, cold, simple foods. I created this sweet, icy, scrumptious Dark Cherry Slushie and it really hits the spot! π
This recipe is a healthier version of that nostalgic gas station slushie treat, but with all natural ingredients, raw vegan and gluten-free. This is also quick & easy to make in the blender. I like to serve this in a mason jar with a tall dessert spoon for fanciness. π
In this recipe I use frozen organic dark sweet cherries which are frozen at peak ripeness for maximum flavor and their pitted, so you don’t have to spend time removing cherry pits. This also helps ensure the perfect slushy texture. If you are using fresh cherries, make sure to pit them, and pre-freeze or add more ice to the recipe.
