Cherry Chia Seed Jam

  • 1 cup dark sweet frozen cherries, thawed
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds


  • Add the cherries, lemon juice & maple syrup to a blender. Blend on high until smooth.
  • Transfer the mixture to a pint sized mason jar and then add the chia seeds. Stir in to distribute evenly. Place in the fridge overnight.
  • The next day, stir well. Serve & enjoy!


For more watery fruits like fresh berries use 2 tablespoons of chia seeds. I've made strawberry chia seed jam and blueberry chia seed jam and both required 2 tbsp chia seeds. If you want it even thicker and with more chia crunch, you could use up to 3 tablespoons.
